Bob was born on June 28, 1938, the son of Parley and Jean Browning in Anaconda, Montana. He graduated from Anaconda High School in 1956. Following his graduation he received his undergraduate degree at the University of Montana and then his dental degree at the University of Minnesota in 1964. He was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Maribeth (Beth) Larson on September 9, 1956, in Anaconda, Montana. They were married almost 39 years until the time of her death on July 11, 1995.
Bob and Beth moved to Forsyth, Montana in August 1964, when Bob opened his first dental practice. Bob and Beth enjoyed running, and spending time at Swan Lake. Additionally, Bob served on the Forsyth School Board for many years. Bob opened another dental practice in Aurora, Colorado in 1997. He continued to maintain two dental practices until he became ill. He said many times that he continued to drive back and forth from Colorado to Forsyth because he enjoyed his patients so much that he had been serving for over 40 years and could not close his Montana practice.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beth; his son, Bruce Browning (1981); and his father, Parley Browning (1994).
Bob is survived by his children; Scott Browning and his wife Chris of Mission Viejo, California; Brian Browning and his wife Jennifer from Ladera Ranch, California, and Jill Korenek and her husband Chip from Lone Tree, Colorado; eight grandchildren Carter, Jake, Madison, Dylan, Tanner, and Bridgette Browning and Jordan and Kevin Korenek; his brothers and sisters Gary, Wayne, Marilyn and Debbie; and his mother Jean Browning.
