Marla Snider
Memorial Service: Saturday, July 19, 2008 at 1:00pm in the chapel of Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in Forsyth
The angels guided our beloved sister, mother, grandmother up to the heavenly fishing hole on July 15, 2008. Marla Rae (Kraus) Snider left this world and has left a lot of broken hearts. Marla was born in Forsyth to Henry and Doris Kraus. She was the baby with Pam, Bart, and Cathy.
Marla had aspirations of becoming a certified veterinary assistant. This became very useful for her since she had a huge heart for animals both large and small, including muskrats in the bathtub. She had a love for the critters around her home and took very good care of them all. Even if they were not her own. She did not like to see animals suffering. Marla left behind her beloved pets, Auggie, the loved dog, Taz, the cat that could climb walls, and Mr. Pibbles, the stray from the river.
Marla had worked for the Forsyth Independent as a reporter, photographer, and typesetter. She loved to interview the Pioneers of Rosebud County and had a way of making them feel at ease during the interview. Her door was always opened to her friends and the friends of her daughters’.
On February 22, 1975 she entered into marriage with William James Wolfe. Out of this union they produced twin little girls, Mandy Thae and Brandy Rae. She also helped to raise her stepson, Jesse. They divorced after several years but remarried again several years later. Though this union was not meant to be, there were a lot of great moments in those years.
One day on the way to Colstrip she looked over towards the Little Wolf Mountains and felt in heart that her soul mate was out there. Then one day while she was working in Colstrip Michael D. Snider walked into the establishment were she worked. She knew that this was her soul mate. They sealed their life together on September 29, 1998. For a honeymoon they of course went fishing. She was happy to say that her cowboy had married a hippy chick.
Marla was preceded in death by; her father Henry Kraus, her mother Doris Kraus, and her soul mate Michael.
Marla is survived by her siblings; Pam (Joe) Ash, Cathy (Duane) Morris, Bart (Connie) Kraus. Her daughters; Mandy (Danny) Dillenbeck, Brandy (Timothy) Taylor and her favorite (OK only grand child) granddaughter Sasha Rae Taylor.
