4:00 to 6:00pm in the chapel of Stevenson and Sons Funeral Forsyth
Funeral Service:
Tuesday, July 29 at 11:00am in the chapel of Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in
Forsyth.
Burial: will
follow in the Masonic Section of the Forsyth Cemetery.

Charles "Chuck" Stoddard,
age 73 of Forsyth passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at the Rosebud Health
Care Center in Forsyth.
Chuck was born on August 29, 1934 the son of Henry and Florence (Stanton)
Stoddard in Silesia, MT. He grew up and attended schools in Hesper and
Billings, MT.
He worked in timber in Red Lodge, MT, ranch work at Sarpy Creek, MT, various
places as a roughneck, Beacon Carter in Miles City, MT, General Tire in
Billings, MT and rotational technician in Colstrip, MT. He was a Middleweight
Golden Gloves Champion for the state of Montana as a teenager. He was a master
musician. He loved to hunt and fish and was a champion in both area and the
state of Montana in trapshooting. Chuck was also a great help to his nephews
during the farming and branding seasons.
Chuck was a grandmaster of the Miles City Masonic Lodge and was also a member of
the Billings and Colstrip Rod and Gun Clubs.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Bill Stoddard, Frank
Stoddard, David Stoddard, Ted Stoddard, Michael Stoddard and sister Patty
Hayden.
Chuck is survived by his children, Charles Lee Stoddard Jr. of Montana, Sandra Lee Stoddard of Montana, William Duane Stoddard of Arizona and James Lee Stoddard of Arizona, his sisters Nancy Luther of Rosebud and Sharon Larsen of Patterson, Louisiana. Chuck is also survived by a very special companion Linda Jones of Forsyth and a special brother-in-law George Luther of Rosebud.
