Bible Verse of the Month
And he spake also a parable unto them;
No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old;
if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent,
and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old.

Introducing Dannon Gibby – Funeral Director at Clayton Stevenson Chapel in Wolf Point, Montana
Dannon grew up on a ranch just 30 miles south of Miles City, Montana. While attending High School in Miles City, Dannon enrolled in a jumpstart program through Miles Community College to get an early start on her higher education. Dannon had always thought about becoming a funeral director, but she truly realized her calling for the funeral industry when a very close family friend unexpectedly passed away in 2011. She soon joined the Stevenson’s, in 2012. After graduating from High School, Dannon continued with MCC, studying science and business, and continued working with the Stevenson’s in Miles City as an assistant. After graduating from MCC, she pursued her
Mortuary Science degree at Arapahoe Community College in Littleton, Colorado. After becoming a Licensed Director, Dannon was placed in Wolf Point to work at the Clayton Stevenson Chapel. In 2019, Dannon married her loving husband Jake, and they bought a place together just west of Wolf Point. In her spare time, Dannon enjoys spending time with her husband and their animals, traveling, and being outdoors. She also practices art, photography, and woodworking.
Better Ways to Serve
Members of The National Funeral Directors Association met in Baltimore, MD in October of 2022 to share fresh ideas and experiences. The goal of these meetings is to help the attendees offer more and better services to all of the communities they serve. Every idea that could enhance the personal service and experience of the people served by Stevenson & Sons Funeral Homes and Cremation Centers is shared by all of the Stevenson & Sons Funeral Homes and Cremation Centers. Any training that is necessary to provide improved services or experiences is immediately prioritized.
We Pride Ourselves on the Breadth of Our Services
All of the staff members throughout the many Stevenson & Sons Funeral Homes take great pride in offering service and support that goes beyond the expectations of those we serve. Many of those, who we have an opportunity to serve, take time to let us know that we made a very difficult time in their lives, a little easier. The following message was sent to Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home in regard to Mikel Stevenson, Funeral Director.
“At a time when I was mentally useless at the loss of my husband, Mikel took care of so many details for me that I would never have been able to do. I wouldn’t have even known where to start. It was overwhelming in the few things I did have to do myself. Thank God for Mikel. He went out of his way to humor my special requests that were over and above the norm. I most certainly would recommend ASW to anyone.”

Grief Support
Many people do not have the time to locate a proper grief counselor. Others do not live in an area where there are any grief counselors available. And finally, many people are not prepared to pay a professional for grief counseling. Fortunately, the internet provides some solutions for those who wish to seek grief counseling or to interact with groups of people who are also coping with grief. Many such services exist, as do professional counselors who will assist people privately on line, hence eliminating the need for travel. Not all services are the same, nor are all chat rooms/groups. You should research what you are interested in and follow-up on the leads you believe will be most helpful to your personal situation until you locate exactly what works best for you. In your search engine look for terms like “grief chat rooms” “bereavement support groups” “professional grief counseling” or “grief management.” Good research is the path to successfully linking up with what, or who, will work the best for you. Another option would be to start your search at the Mental Health American website. Lots of information, and many places to research groups, centers and more.
