And be ye kind one to another,
tenderhearted, forgiving one another,
even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

A Wonderful Note For The Staff of Stevenson & Sons in Miles City, Montana
Thank you for your words of sympathy, your voice of concern, your gesture of caring and the love you offered.
Dear Staff,
How do I even begin to express our appreciation for all you did to make mom’s service go smoothly? From that first evening through the entire funeral you were there holding our hands and providing everything before we even knew we wanted or needed it. Thank you so much!

Tammy Hutchinson’s 25-Year Anniversary at Stevenson & Sons
Tammy was born in Ekalaka, MT and raised on her family’s ranch along with her three older siblings. She graduated from Carter County High School in Ekalaka and then attended Miles Community College in Miles City, where she graduated in 1996 with a degree in Associate of Arts as well as a degree in Small System Computers. Tammy began her 25-year working relationship with Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in 1997. She started by designing memorial cards, writing obituaries and helping with services. Since those humble beginnings in 1997, Tammy has worked tirelessly and helped in many facets of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Today, Tammy holds the crucial position of Office Manager. As Office Manager of the primary facility, Tammy is able to apply all that she has learned in over two decades of serving the community. Tammy also assists each and every Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home to become more efficient and continuously improve their services to their respective communities.
Tammy enjoys many hobbies during her personal time. Her hobbies and passions include photography, quilting — and pretty much any craft out there. She dearly loves playing games and doing crafts with her nieces and nephews and watching them in their school sports and other activities. Tammy also enjoys traveling, especially with her two sisters. The trio tries to go on a big trip together every few years. So far, the sisters have enjoyed trips to many places including New Mexico, Washington D.C., Nevada, Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Florida, Wisconsin and Minnesota. They’ve also enjoyed the beaches of Mexico several times. Tammy likes watching movies, drinking foo-foo coffees and hanging out with family and friends. She is a longtime member of Grace Bible Church and also very much likes attending her childhood church in Ekalaka, the Medicine Rocks Church, when she is in Ekalaka.
The photo album below provides a deeper view of Tammy’s life. What it does not show, is all the many friends she’s made while serving those in the community. Happy 25th year, Tammy – you are truly a very special member of the Stevenson & Sons family.
Monument Care
It’s the perfect time of year to properly care for the monuments that mark the final resting places of friends and family members. No matter where the monuments you care about are located, they suffer from the effects of the area’s environment. Some areas have very harsh, very destructive environments, others – not so much. A primary destructive element to monuments is the weather. Blazing sun, extreme sub-zero temperatures, icing, frost and more cause appreciably harm to even the hardiest of stone monuments. Blowing sand and dirt also acts as an abrasive. If you wish to clean a monument yourself, we suggest contacting the monument maker and getting instructions. If that contact is not possible, for help and instructions, contact: Stevenson & Sons Monument Company • 1717 Main Street • Miles City, Montana 59301 • or call 406.232.4457 or 1-800-775-4460 or FAX: 406.234.0078.
Monument Cleaning Services
A Monument stands as a tribute to those we love, long into the future. And we all want to ensure that those monuments continue to be the clean, pristine tributes that they were intended to be.
Weather, grime, hard water, trees, birds and many other natural elements can interfere with the beauty of a monument over the years. We recommend regular cleaning of a monument as the years go by. To help facilitate this, we have worked with MonuCare and feel it is the best way to keep up on monument maintenance.
There are 3 Frequencies for cleaning depending on your needs:
You can sign-up online at the secure Monucare website. We have negotiated a special Discount Code for 5% off of the first year of cleanings for the families we serve, that code is: 1717. Please enter that code in at the time of purchase for your discount. You will need a Credit or Debit Card and an E-mail address to get registered at Monucare.

Grief Support
Many people do not have the time to locate a proper grief counselor. Others do not live in an area where there are any grief counselors available. And finally, many people are not prepared to pay a professional for grief counseling. Fortunately, the internet provides some solutions for those who wish to seek grief counseling or to interact with groups of people who are also coping with grief. Many such services exist, as do professional counselors who will assist people privately on line, hence eliminating the need for travel. Not all services are the same, nor are all chat rooms/groups. You should research what you are interested in and follow-up on the leads you believe will be most helpful to your personal situation until you locate exactly what works best for you. In your search engine look for terms like “grief chat rooms” “bereavement support groups” “professional grief counseling” or “grief management.” Good research is the path to successfully linking up with what, or who, will work the best for you. Another option would be to start your search at the Mental Health American website. Lots of information, and many places to research groups, centers and more.
