Bible Verse of the Month
For God so loved the world,
that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him

An Unforgettable Celebration of Life
In keeping with the its long history of fulfilling all of the deceased family’s wishes, the Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City made all the arrangement necessary to hold a final celebration of life on the Eastern Montana Fairgrounds. Only that specific venue could accommodate all of those attending on horseback, as well as those friends and family members sitting in the grandstands. Despite a brutal temperature, driven ever-higher by an unrelenting sun and a cloudless sky, the riders maintained their formation to demonstrate their affection for the deceased. Everything from the custom barn wood casket to the riderless horse in the procession that made its way to the final burial site was arranged perfectly. Such very involved final celebrations take time and a tremendous amount of planning and oversight – but it offers so much comfort and closure to so many that the Stevenson’s work tirelessly to make every one of them happen perfectly. We invite you to become part of the legacy of a life well lived by watching the video below.
Few Things
There are very few things that mean more to the staffs of all the Stevenson & Sons Funeral Homes than knowing that the deceased’s family and friends were pleased with all of the service provided during their time of need. Below is just one of the many letters that acknowledges the hard work of the staff at one of the Stevenson & Sons Funeral Homes. It creates a lasting record showing the benefits that their hard work provided. When letters like this are received at any Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home, they are quickly shared with all of the staffs. Such letters move us all to continue to make our service to the communities we serve better every day.
Grief Support
Many people do not have the time to locate a proper grief counselor. Others do not live in an area where there are any grief counselors available. And finally, many people are not prepared to pay a professional for grief counseling. Fortunately, the internet provides some solutions for those who wish to seek grief counseling or to interact with groups of people who are also coping with grief. Many such services exist, as do professional counselors who will assist people privately on line, hence eliminating the need for travel. Not all services are the same, nor are all chat rooms/groups. You should research what you are interested in and follow-up on the leads you believe will be most helpful to your personal situation until you locate exactly what works best for you. In your search engine look for terms like “grief chat rooms” “bereavement support groups” “professional grief counseling” or “grief management.” Good research is the path to successfully linking up with what, or who, will work the best for you. Another option would be to start your search at the Mental Health American website. Lots of information, and many places to research groups, centers and more.
