Our History

The Stevenson family is truly the heart of the history of the Stevenson & Sons Funeral Homes. Throughout the years, our family has maintained the highest standards of personal care, respect and service that stems from the values within our own homes.

Stevenson & Sons Funeral Homes has been a family owned and operated establishment since 1962. After serving the community for almost thirty years, founder Dale Stevenson passed the torch to the next generations of the family. In November 2012, Stevenson & Sons celebrated our 50th year of funeral service.

Since the 1990’s, Joe & Patty Stevenson along with Todd & Terri Stevenson, slowly started expanding their services into other areas, where opportunities allowed. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Homes are now serving  communities from Helena, MT to western North Dakota.

The second generation of Stevenson’s, are honored to have the 3rd generation deeply engaged in the offering of our services to so many communities. Scott Stevenson, TJ Stevenson, and Mikel Stevenson, all of whom have their own families now, are all very active in various locations and responsibilities.

The Stevenson Family is excited to announce their latest location: the family has acquired Axelson Funeral and Cremation Services in Butte, MT. We, as a family, are grateful for the outstanding funeral directors, office managers and staff that we have in each location. They all are profoundly dedicated to serving the families in the communities and our employees contribute to the success of each funeral home’s location.
