Please enjoy these photos of the Stevenson & Sons Funeral Homes’ Clydesdales, taken by their longtime driver and caretaker, Chet Holmes of Miles City, Montana. Chet first led the Clydesdales in July 1998 during a funeral in Broadus, Montana. Chet practices with the team regularly, using Main Street in Miles City as the training field. Training the Clydesdales on Main Street helps to condition the team to traffic and noises. Training is an important part of life for the Clydesdales. Aside from their duties at the funeral home, they regularly pull the wedding carriage for marriage ceremonies and appear in parades and special events around the state.
